Psycho

Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 masterpiece thriller, Psycho. I designed the board completely in black and white to reflect the film - including changing the usual colour-group properties to various shades and tints of grey - even the International Ridicule logo is greyscale!

There are several nods to Hitchcock's marketing of the film itself, where he had cardboard cutouts of himself outside cinemas demanding no late entrance to the film so the surprise ending would not be ruined, and his 'extended trailer' which saw him give a tour of the famous Bates' house. For the properties, I used Film cameras and clapperboards, with counters including a toilet (Psycho is considered to be the first film ever to show a toilet being flushed) a megaphone and a director's chair. As an extra touch, none of the gamecards feature events after the infamous shower scene.

help believing.
