Phantasm

Don Coscarelli's Phantasm franchise is one of my favourites, so when a young man from New York approached me at London ComicCon and asked me if I could create a game based on the first film, I said yes - this was to be a very tough challenge though.
My immediate thought was that the Sentinel Spheres from the movie - the little flying balls of death issued by The Tall Man - should be one of the property choices. This was not a great move, as spheres are notoriously difficult to 3d print - I tried everything, from numerous materials and settings, and even trying to print two halves that could be joined together so at least one surface would be flat! My client was incredibly patient with me, and we eventually agreed that a Sphere would be best served as a counter rather than trying to perfect twenty of them as properties! Realising that we hadn't utilised The Tall Man's barrels, in which he compresses the corpses to create his Lurkers, they quickly became our replacement property pieces, and I finally managed to get a Sphere counter both he and I were happy with.
As a couple of little finishing touches, I added a little casket-shaped counter holder, and lavender coloured dice.
"BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
